Chairman of Bonny Local Government Area, Dame Anengi Barasua says the dividends of democracy that Nigerians seek are the key points of the unique service delivery offerings of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

She has, therefore, called on them to take advantage of the leverage the bi-modal voter accreditation system (BVAS) has availed them to vote the party’s candidates for governorship, senate, house of representatives and house of assembly.  

According to a statement by the Secretary, Publicity Sub-Committee of the PDP Bonny LGA Campaign Council, Boma Waribor, Dame Barasua said this during the Unit-to-Unit Campaign Exercise of the PDP in Bonny LGA, which kicked off on Wednesday, February 8, 2023 with a dedication service at the St. Clement Anglican Church, Bonny, Rivers State.

Speaking at the different Units, the Campaign Director General of the PDP in Bonny LGA emphasised the need to elect only credible and young candidates with reputable antecedents who would be able to provide impactful representation wherever they are elected to serve.

The statement further revealed that “the campaign tour, which had the leaders, candidates, party faithful and well-wishers of the PDP made stopovers at the 12 Unites of Ward 1 where a rousing reception amidst a large number of cheery residents awaited her arrival in each political Unit”.

Highpoint of the tour at the various units was the presentation of solidarity speeches by party leaders, introduction of the governorship candidate; Siminialayi Fubara, senatorial candidate; Ipalibo Harry Banigo, House of Representatives candidate; Cyril Hart, and the House of Assembly candidate; Victor Oko-Jumbo to the people, as well as a pep-talk on the dynamics of the Bi-modal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS).
