The House of Representatives candidate of the Labour Party for Degema/Bonny Federal Constituency, Warisenibo Dienye Pepple has commended Farah Dagogo, the incumbent member of the House of Representatives representing Degema/Bonny Federal Constituency for the passage of the Federal Medical Centre, Bonny bill into law.
Warisenibo Pepple gave this commendation on Wednesday, January 18, 2023 while reacting to the news of passage of the bill by the Senate in concurrence with the House of Representatives which had earlier passed the bill into law back in 2022.
“The thoughtfulness behind the idea and the argument Mr. Farah Dagogo put forth to actualize the passage of the bill at both the lower and upper chambers of the National Assembly is exemplary and worthy of commendation.”
Expressing confidence that he would win the forthcoming election and succeed Farah Dagogo, the Labour Party’s House of Representatives hopeful pledged to follow up and ensure the speedy implementation of the medical center and ensure its sustenance.
The seasoned entrepreneur turned politician further pledged to emulate Dagogo’s trajectory by following in the line of sponsoring bills that address the concerns and interests of Degema and Bonny people, noting that this is an integral part of his manifesto.
The Senate passed the Federal Medical Centre Bonny bill after it was presented by its Leader, Senator Ibrahim Abdullahi Gobir for concurrence on Wednesday, January 18, 2023.
The passage of the bill is in concurrence with the one earlier passed by the House of Representatives.
The bill, which was sponsored by a member representing Degema/Bonny Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Farah Dagogo, will cater to and address the consistent surge in the population of Bonny and Rivers State at large, owing to the oil explorative activities constantly ongoing on the Island, with the figures of persons estimated to increase, especially with the construction of the Train 7 of the Nigeria Liquefied Natural Gas, NLNG.
