It made particular emphasis on the new Local Government Council Secretariat complex built by the Samuel Nwanosike led administration and other landmark achievements, which it described as “second to none”.

Recall that the Nwanosike led administration, in its first term in office, embarked on and completed some projects in the LGA including the construction of a new local government council Secretariat, construction of the Ubima Divisional Police Headquarters, and construction of markets and drainages in some parts of the LGA.

Also recall that recently during the commissioning of some of these projects, the Chairman of the PDP in Rivers State, Desmond Akawor had extolled the achievements of Nwanosike, urging other LG Chairmen in the State to emulate his developmental strides.

Akawor, who is also the Chairman of the Greater Port Harcourt City Development Authority (GPHCDA), also stated that their profile of achievements would be the benchmark the party would use to determine who is accorded a second term ticket.

“His Excellency, Governor Nyesom Wike, has made it clear that if you perform well, you will come back and if you did not perform, you won’t return.

“I, as the party Chairman in the state, reiterate the Governor that if you do not perform as a Chairman, don’t even think of buying form for a comeback.”

He stressed that development is the basic dividend of democracy and the fundamental deliverable of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), noting that this was the reason the State Governor, Nyesom Wike was pleased with Samuel Nwanosike.
