The Chairman of Bonny Local Government Area, David Irimagha has inaugurated the newly elected executive of the Bonny Youths Federation (BYF) with a charge that they provide servant leadership to the youths they have been elected to lead.
Giving his charge during the inauguration which held at the Bonny Local Government Council Secretariat, Bonny, Irimagha drew their attention to the auspicious nature of their emergence, saying posterity has bequeathed them with a privileged opportunity to serve in this capacity.
Represented by his Vice, Anengi Barasua, the Bonny LGA boss proffered a three point blueprint to them to appropriate to succeed while in office, noting that they were elected out of the large majority to represent the voice of the youths.
“The ball is in your court, go forth and write your name in gold. See this as an ample opportunity to give back to your kingdom.”
“Work with the fear of God, it is with the fear of God you can surmount the challenges you will face in office. Respect he position, we have thousands of youths in Bonny Kingdom but you were selected. Live like servants, let your leadership be an exemplary one.”
The oath of office was administered by the Chief Magistrate of the Magistrate Court, Bonny, His Lordship Ayarite Harry.
At the event were the Secretary to the Bonny Local Government Council, Omoni Longjohn, Chief of Staff to the Bonny LG Chairman, Uriel John-Jumbo, representatives of security commanders in Bonny LGA, members of the dissolved BYF CTC, among others.

The Bonny Youths Federation (BYF), which is the apex youth body of Bonny Kingdom, has been mired in intractable crisis leaving the Chairman of the LGA, David Irimagha with no other choice but to dissolve the feuding executive on Wednesday, January 22, 2020.
An interim committee was constituted a week later to manage the body and conduct elections within the shortest period but due to the Covid-19 restrictions the elections were delayed.
Days ago, the Bonny LG Chief Executive hinted Kristina Reports that he has directed that the elections be conducted immediately within a two week period having been postponed from the previous date in October.
The election itself, which was monitored by Kristina Reports, turned out, according to eyewitnesses, to be a sham, with incidences of over-voting, intimidation of delegates, agents of some of the contestants, and several other irregularities.
