“You can actually eat well here for as low as N200”, was how the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Our Kitchen, Esther Randolph-Brown started off her speech at the official opening of the posh restaurant located along New Finima Road in Agalanga section of Finima Community in Bonny Local Government Area of Rivers State.
A banker, entrepreneur, socialite and chef par excellence, Mrs. Randolph-Brown assured her esteemed guests of the quality, richness and nutritional benefits of eating at the restaurant, noting that naming the restaurant ‘Our Kitchen’ was predicate don the aim of community ownership and buy-in by customers.
Some of the guests include her husband and former member representing Degema/Bonny federal constituency in the House of Representatives, Randolph Brown; Chiefs and Heads of Buoye Omuso Brown House, Aseme Alabo Dagogo Lambert Brown; and Jim Halliday House, Wari-Alabo Elliot Jim-Halliday; Director General, Bonny Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (BOCCIMA), Constance Nwokejiobi, and candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the Bonny Constituency in the Rivers State House of Assembly, Victor Oko-Jumbo.
Others were a former State Commissioner for Finance, Israel Williams; the lawmaker representing Ward 10 in the Bonny Legislative Assembly, Kingsley Jumbo; former Chairman of Bonny Integrated Recruitment Centre (BIRC), Aladiokuma Hart; Chairman of Buoye Omuso Brown House Asawo, Prince Igbiwari Brown, one of his predecessors, Dagogo Philip Brown; and Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) of Kristina Reports and Irisay Media, Godswill Jumbo and Reginald Jumbo, amongst others.
According to her, the very low pricing regime for delicacies and drinks served in the restaurant was to achieve inclusivity and make everyone comfortable regardless of their pockets, stressing that the satisfaction and fulfilment Our Kitchen’s customers would derive from its tasty and nutritious meals was its corporate priority.
According to the management, delicacies ranging from local to intercontinental cuisines would be on offer as well special dishes that would be served ala carte to all classes of walk-in customers, with future plans to taking special orders and home deliveries.
The location of the restaurant is also strategic and it sits about 100 meters from the Atlantic Sterling Hotel from where lodged-in guests could take a walk down to have a bite at tasty meals.
It is also approximately a kilometer away from the Finima Nature Park, NLNG Industrial Area and Residential Area, and approximately a mile from Finima Community and the Atlantic Ocean, Lighthouse fishing settlement amongst other tourist attractions. So guests can eat and go for sightseeing or the other way around.
