There has been shooting at Lekki tollgate to disperse protesters who defied the 24-hour curfew imposed by the state governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Tuesday.
According to videos circulating the social media, there were sounds of gunshots but unconfirmed if the security forces were firing at the protesters while they run for safety.
This is coming hours after the expiration of movement in the state which ended 4:00pm on Tuesday.
The Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu has ordered the deployment of anti-riot police squad to some states in the country to quell the increasing violence.
