Mrs. Dabota Daniella Godswill Jumbo

As the march to the 2019 general elections gathers momentum it appears the hallowed chambers of the Rivers State House of Assembly and the Bonny constituency therein would graced by a dazzling, irrepressible, resourceful and quintessential Amazon of many parts as she bestrides the political turf.

This is none other than the banker, entrepreneur, philanthropist, life coach, social influencer, and political navigator, Mrs. Dabota Daniella Godswill Jumbo, who last weekend threw her hat abi gele into the ring to vie for the cherished and privileged opportunity to represent the great people of Bonny Kingdom at the state House of Assembly. 

She made her intention public when her campaign train paid a consultative visit to the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Bonny Local Government Area at the residence of the leader of the party in Bonny LGA, Hon. Fubara George Tolofari, in Port Harcourt, the state capital on Sunday, July 29, 2018. 

 The Bonny LGA leader of the APC, Hon. Fubara George Tolofari introduced Mrs. Dabota Daniella Godswill Jumbo to the leadership of the party, describing her as a very humble, hospitable, compassionate, elegant, efficient and effective, God fearing daughter of Bonny Kingdom, and a loyalist of the APC in ward 4, unit 3, Bonny LGA, and asked her to disclose the purpose of her visit.

The budding aspirant, Mrs. Dabota Daniella Godswill Jumbo informed the august assemblage that she was there to intimate them of her intention to contest for the Bonny Constituency seat in the state House of Assembly.

“My dear leaders, I am here to humbly notify the irrepressible and indefatigable leadership of our great party, APC Bonny LGA, of my ambition to vie for the Rivers State House of Assembly, representing Bonny Constituency,” she said.

She further disclosed that she was seeking their fatherly advice, wise counsel and direction, and ultimately support and endorsement of her candidature to win the ticket of the party, and subsequently fly the party flag at the 2019 polls.

Responding, the various leaders, who spoke at the meeting, applauded her courage, determination to serve, and legendary generosity. They encouraged her to further reach out to other critical stakeholders to drive the pursuit of actualizing her ambition, which they described as having the potential of realizing the collective expectation of all that Bonny will be better and greater.

In attendance at the august meeting were the Chairman of the party in Bonny LGA, Hon. Isreal W. Pepple, Deputy Chairman, APC Bonny LGA, Hon. Sir Edward Alex-Hart, Secretary, APC Bonny LGA, Hon. Benson Ebenezer Pepple, a former member of the House of REpresentatives, Hon. Amaopusenibo Tonye Longjohn, a former member of State House of Assembly, Hon. Amasenibo Aye Atamah Pepple, a former Commissioner, Hon. Frederick Tolofari, a former Executive Chairmen of Bonny LGA, Hon. Amasenibo Edward Ebenezer Pepple, and Hon. Omuso Gordon Abbey, and former Caretaker Committee Chairmen, Hon. Amaopusenibo Nelson Irimagha, Hon. Amasenibo Adonye Dappa Wilcox, and Hon. Amasenibo Adonye Harold Wilcox.

Others were former Secretaries to Bonny Local Government Council, Hon. Maxwell Akwe, Hon. Gogo Papanye, LGA Woman Leader, Mrs. Bernice Tolofari, former permanent secretary in the Rivers State government, Amaopusenibo Fubara Kingsley Hart, Hon. Fubara John Jumbo, and Hon. Adiesiagha Halliday, amongst others.
