Evomec Global Services Limited (EGSL) remains committed to efforts geared towards assuring the safety of lives of travelers utilizing the waterways in Bonny Local Government Area of Rivers State, the company has said.
Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of EGSL, High Chief Peter Esievo said this on Friday, April 26, 2024 in an interview with Kristina Reports on the sidelines of the presentation of 100 children and 200 adult life vests to the Interim Management Committee of the Bonny marine transport system in Bonny, Rivers State.
The presentation was done through the Bonny Kingdom Development Committee (BKDC) at the Coal Beach, Bonny.
Represented by the Government Liaison Officer (GLO) of the company, Emmanuel Wilcox, the Evomec CEO reiterated that the company’s corporate ideology that lives of Bonny travelers’ matter.
“Anywhere Evomec goes, we like to show ourselves and after what happened some weeks ago, we cannot but show sympathy and empathy.”
“This is why we’re donating these life vests to be used by travelers on the Bonny waterways to ensure their safety.”
“We believe that the lives of Bonny travelers matter and so we’re collaborating with the Bonny Kingdom Development Committee and the Bonny Local Government to contribute our little quota to the wellbeing of travelers.”
He urged the IMC to ensure good utilization of the life vests for the benefit of the travelers, assuring that the company will continue to seek more ways of contributing to the efficiency of the transport system in the area.
