Omotola Jalade Ekeinde Shares Ordeal After Successful Gallbladder Surgery

Nollywood veteran Omotola Jalade Ekeinde has expressed deep gratitude after successfully undergoing emergency surgery to remove her gallbladder.

The actress shared her experience with fans on Instagram, detailing months of battling intense pain and other symptoms.

Omotola revealed that her health struggles began with recurring back and chest pains, which led to multiple visits to the emergency room.

Despite initial treatments, her condition worsened, culminating in a life-threatening episode that required immediate surgery.

“Happy Thanksgiving!🍁🦃🍽 Please join me as I thank God for Life and Good health.”

” (So my first caption didn’t post, and this is another not as passionate as the first one) arghhh,” she wrote.

She continued by recounting her ordeal:
“Have you been told by a Doctor, ‘There’s Nothing more we can do at this time,’ and you still feel like you’re dying? A Read …”

The actress explained that her symptoms initially seemed linked to high blood pressure and acid reflux.

Despite doctors’ attempts to manage her condition, the pain persisted.

“On the second admission, the Doctor gave all the Drips, blood work and sent me home to manage.”

” Luckily, it left,” she wrote.

The mother of four shared that during a film viewing for Gladiator 11, her condition took a sharp turn for the worse.

“However, after the movie, I knew there will be No talks with Denzel or Ridley Scott today.”

“I needed to go! I threw up all Night till there was Nothing to throw up anymore.”

“By Morning the Most Dilapidating Stomach pain started and so I was rushed Again to Emergency … the Third time!”

At the hospital, tests revealed that her gallbladder was severely dilated, prompting immediate surgery.

“Then the Doctor came in and said you have to go in immediately for Surgery! … to Remove your Gall-bladder!!! It was so Dilated, the Doctors wandered how I was not in more pain.”

“More pain???!” she recounted.

Omotola also shared a video capturing moments from her hospital stay, including a clip of a video call with her husband.

Her story serves as a testament to her resilience and a reminder to prioritize health.
