Rivers Angels will on Wednesday, February 27, 2025, tackle Adamawa Queens at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium by 4pm, as the Nigeria Women’s Football League reaches its mid-season juncture.
Unbeaten Rivers Angels will welcome Adamawa Queens to the Treasure Base of the Nation, as they look to maintain their impressive form at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium.
The Jewels of Rivers have won four of their six matches, and drawn the other two. Last weekend, the Jewels put their attacking prowess on display as they thrashed Sporting Angels 10-0 to win the Rivers State FA Cup.
Adamawa Queens, on the other hand, have struggled to win games on the road, losing all three of their away games this season. The Fintiri Queens would be looking to close out the first stanza on a high, while the Jewels of Rivers would look to maintain momentum.
Mary Moses, Rivers Angels striker who will be facing her former side Adamawa Quees, amongst other comments, vowed not to celebrate if she scores against her former side; this was revealed in an exclusive interview with Rivers Angels media.
“I want to prove to Adamawa Queens that I’m still the same Mary they know,” she said. “I’m willing to score goals against them.”
