Nobody Can Return Rivers State to Dark Days Again – CTC Chairman Declares

The Chairman of the Caretaker Committee of Tai Local Government Area of Rivers State, Matthew Dike has declared that the State has been liberated from the dark days of bad governance and oppression and nobody can cause a reversal of this reality.

Dike made this declaration on Sunday, July 7, 2024 at Thanksgiving Service at the Apostolic Church, Nigeria, Nonwa Assembly 1 in Nonwa, Tai LGA of Rivers State.

“We are thanking God because we had long yearned for freedom and had asked for God’s liberation. In retrospect we can see where we are coming from, and where we are now, and it’s enough to say Lord, thank you.”

“We are united; nobody can take us to the dark days again.”

The CTC Chairman stated that he and other members of the Committee were in the Church to appreciate and return the glory to God for the privilege and opportunity granted them to serve the good people of Tai LGA.

He poured encomiums on the Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, who was represented by the Mayor of Port Harcourt, Ezebunwo Ichemati, for his wisdom, and privilege given to them to serve the people.

He also applauded his family, friends, and, most especially, his fellow CTC Chairmen present, who made cash donations to the church building, for honouring the invitation.

The Thanksgiving Service which witnessed a mammoth crowd with the auditorium filled to capacity and attendants had to make use of the open field outside as there was no more space inside the church.

Amongst the dignitaries were the Caretaker Committee Chairmen of Gokana LGA; Kenneth Kpedee, Ogu/Bolo LGA; Evans Bipi, Andoni LGA; Reginald Ekaan, and Eleme LGA; Brain Gokpa.

Others were the CTC Chairmen of Ikwerre LGA; Dr Darlington Orji, Degema LGA; Anthony SOberekon, Opobo/Nkoro LGA; Enyiada Cookey-Gam, Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni LGA; Princewill Ejekwe, the Gbenemene Tai Kingdom; His Royal Majesty, Sir Samuel Nne, JP, Paramount Ruler of Nonwa Community; His Royal Highness, Mene Emmanuel Nubue Nyiedam, JP, and a host of other dignitaries.
