As the world marks the 2023 International Workers Day, the Woman Leader of Bonny Kingdom, Amaopuorubo Helen Jack-Wilson Pepple has felicitated with workers the world over, praising them for their dedication to work and commitment to excellence.
She specially celebrated the various women who are excelling in their various fields of endeavour, exuding exceptional expertise and displaying outstanding compassion, saying these are the universal qualities that exemplify womanhood.
Pepple, who made this assertion in a statement marking the International Workers Day, described women as “pivotal to excellent workplaces, leadership spectrums and convivial society,” noting that “take women out of the workplace and see what remains. It goes without saying that women are pivotal to everything we do at the workplace and the world of work as a whole”.
The serial entrepreneur and seasoned advocate for gender inclusion called on employers to continue to improve the work environment and working conditions for their staff, stressing the need for creating an atmosphere that accommodates gender diversity and promise of career growth.
“As we all celebrate this year’s edition of the International Workers Day, it is good for us as employers of labour to reflect on how we treat our workers, what kind of environment they work and what they look forward to as they contribute their efforts, time and knowledge to the growth of our businesses.”
“We celebrate our women who have been showcasing exceptional expertise in diverse sectors of the economy, contributing so much to the knowledge economy and bringing the universal qualities of womanhood such as compassion, care and candour to beautify our workplaces.”
“As a critical part of the traditional institution in Grand Bonny Kingdom, the Bonny Women Forum will continue to celebrate and cherish those values that make our society better. These include hardwork, dedication, self-improvement and humanity. Bonny Women Forum will not cease to eulogize our women who excel in their chosen fields of endeavour. Happy Workers Day.”
