Pandemonium broke out yesterday simultaneously in Ajah and Ojota axis of Lagos State when confusion descended among dredgers in the community on who dredges on the waterways in the area in Ajah, while in Ojota a clash erupted at a popular motor park; Ojota Motor Park.
It was alleged that a certain faction in the park accused another faction to be responsible for the death of its member whom they described as their Chairman.
Kristina Reports learnt that the clash which was among the rival factions lasted for several hours resulted to injuries on passers-by thereby leaving closures of shops and business activities at the park.
As at time of report, it was gathered that property worth millions of naira was lost while scores of persons were reported injured at Ajah.
Confirming the clash in Ajah, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Bala Elkana, said that one person was killed and six persons have been arrested over the clash.
He accounted that the clash was between the dredgers on who takes control of the activities in the area.
In Ojota, the Police PRO disclosed that the clash was between two factions of the transport workers at the park; National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), stating that the other faction was responsible for the death of their colleague.
The Police further explained that the accused faction used charm on the deceased colleague which they denied the claim and that resulted to the clash.
