Sequel to the inauguration of caretaker committees for the 23 local government areas of Rivers State, stakeholders in the political space have observed that inclusivity demonstrated by the Governor Siminalayi Fubara led administration is reflective of shared diversities in the State.
One of such stakeholders is the Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC) in Rivers State which showered encomiums on the State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara for appointing members of opposition political parties into the recently inaugurated caretaker committees.
This was contained in a press release signed by Amieyeofori Ibim, Chief Press Secretary to the Chairman of the Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC) in Rivers State, Solsuema Osaro.
Osaro, while commending the Governor for his developmental efforts to ensure good governance in the State, said these efforts are worthy of appreciation.
“Your efforts to ensure peace, stability and good governance in Rivers State are laudable and deserving of our appreciation…”
He conveyed IPAC’s resolve to support the Governor in delivering quality governance in the State, stressing the fact that appointment of persons from other political parties will strengthen partnerships in building a better Rivers State.
“As the Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC), we’re committed to supporting your administration’s efforts to deliver quality governance to the people of Rivers State. We believe that this appointment will further strengthen our partnership and collaboration in building a better future for our State…”
He urged members of the various caretaker committees to uphold the tenets of democracy and good governance even as he congratulated them for their appointments.
Checks by Kristina Reports revealed that the recently inaugurated caretaker committees had a member of an opposition political party, a member of the National Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), as well as a non-indigene resident in the LGA.
