There was excitement today as Bonny Kingdom’s first orphanage and home for the elderly, De-Choice Orphanage and Elderly Home Center received her first donation today. It was a bag of rice with a promise for one more to follow.

A senior pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Rivers Province 6, Bonny LGA, Pastor Patrick Asasa made the donation, when he visited the orphans today.

Making the donation, Pastor Asasa admonished the Founder and Executive Director of the center, Choice Jumbo to sustain her passion for compassion for the less privileged, noting that God uses human hands to bless his people.

The cleric prayed for the orphans who were aged between one and 15 years, asking the Almighty God to bless them with the support they need to thrive and achieve exceptional success in life.

Responding, Jumbo thanked Pastor Asasa for his magnanimity and compassion for the less privileged, assuring him that the donation would be judiciously utilized for the welfare of the children.

She informed him that various processes were ongoing to scale up the capacity of the center to cater to the needs orphans and vulnerable children (OVCs) and the elderly in Bonny LGA.

De-Choice Orphanage and Elderly Home Center, located at 24 Hospital Road, Ayambo, Bonny, was inaugurated on Thursday, august 27, 2020, as a place to cater for OVCs and the elderly in Bonny LGA.

It is the first of its kind in the area where there has been a gaping dearth of any facility to cater to the needs of orphans and vulnerable children (OVCs) and the elderly.
