Dino Melaye Set for Kogi Guber RaceNigeria’s embattled Senator representing Kogi West Federal Constituency, Dino Melaye on Saturday confirmed his intention to join the Kogi State Gubernatorial race slated to hold on November 16, 2019.

The announcement was made through his media aide, Gideon Ayodele during a stakeholders’ meeting at the residence of Gen. David Jemibewon, a prominent member of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

The stakeholders’ meeting was organized to recognize party members from the senatorial districts who want to run for the number one post in the state.

According to the response given to newsmen by Melaye’s aide, the Senator said that he is most qualified candidate for the governorship seat in the state after giving his resume as been a former member of the House Representatives for eight years and he is currently a senator urging the party to give him their support.

Senator Dino Melaye is among many candidates that will contest for the party primaries in August.

Melaye have not been in good terms with the current Governor of the state Yaha Bello of the All Progressives Congress (APC) which the Senator once belong to before decamping to the PDP before the just concluded 2019 General Elections.
