Church of Golden Age Investitures Bonny Monarch as Grand Patron
On a rain-drenched Sunday, the Amanyanabo and Natural Ruler of Grand Bonny Kingdom, His Majesty, King Edward Asimini William Dappa Pepple III, CON, DSSRS, JP, Edward I, Perekule XI, was investitured as the Grand Patron of the Church of the Golden Age, Bonny.
The investiture took place on Sunday, July 20, 2025 during the consecration and dedication of the new temple of the Church of the Golden Age, Bonny, Rivers State.
Justifying the honour done to the revered Monarch by the church, the presiding priest and Grand Commander of the Church of the Golden Age, Se-Alabo Haniel Tamunoiwarisoma Jack-Wilson Pepple enumerated the noble qualities and sterling virtues of King Pepple.
He stated that the investiture was the least honour conferrable on the Amanyanabo, noting that in his postulations and mannerisms, he has always mainstreamed piety and profound respect for God Almighty.
The Church of Golden Age Grand Commander attributed the success of the new edifice to God Almighty and His great angels, noting that without God nothing can be achieved on earth.
He commended the leaders, elders, workforce and members of the church for their various roles in seeing the project through, urging them to sustain their faith and trust in God, assuring that His mighty angels are always on hand to protect and avail them the blessings of the Almighty.
The Amanyanabo and Natural Ruler of Bonny Kingdom, His Majesty, King Edward Asimini William Dappa Pepple III, CON, DSSRS, JP, was represented at the service by the Chief and Head of Jim-Halliday Chieftaincy House of Bonny Kingdom, Se-Alabo Elliot Jim-Halliday, who was accompanied by his Banigo Major Chieftaincy House counterpart, Se-Alabo Sotonye Banigo.
Also in attendance were the Administrator of Bonny LGA, who was represented the Secretary to the Bonny Local Government, Tamunotonye Jumbo, who was accompanied by Administrator’s Chief of Staff, Soparagha Jumbo and Chief Security Officer, Prince Christy-Wilcox, amongst others.
Earlier in his special address, Chairman of the Temple Consecration and Dedication Committee (TCDC), Dr Fubara Barapakaye welcomed guests to the special church service, acknowledging God for guidance and provision in the success of erecting the new edifice.
He expressed his deepest appreciation to members, leaders and elders of the church for their consistent faith, support to the grand Commander, while urging them to continue to grow in faith and spread the good news.
Highpoint of the service was the dedication of the new church building by the Grand Commander, Se-Alabo Haniel Jack-Wilson Pepple, special ministrations, praise and worship and entertainment.
