Rivers United is set to tackle Dream FC of Ghana in the final game of the CAF Confederation Cup group stages, on Sunday, March 3, 2024, at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium, Uyo, in a bid to advance to the knock-out rounds.

The Port-Harcourt-based side has already begun preparations in Uyo.

Rivers United currently rank third in the group with nine points from five games played, winning three games and losing two, while Dream FC sits top of the log having won four of five matches played, amassing 12 points from a possible 15.

In their matchday two encounter at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Sunday, December 3, 2023, it was Dreams FC who capitalised on the home advantage and got a 2-1 victory over the Nigerian side.

Rivers United got a hard-fought 3-2 win against APC Lobito of Angola on Sunday, and would look to overcome a significant challenge against Dream FC and get all three points.

Club Africain who are level on 9 points with the Pride of Rivers, also look to advance, as they lock horns with the weeping boys of the group: APC Lobito of Angola.
