According to sources, two persons have been confirmed dead on Friday at noon after a commercial helicopter crashed into a residential building in Opebi area in Ikeja, Lagos State.

The accident occurred at Salvation Road.

The said helicopter belongs to Quorum Aviation Limited, an air transportation and logistics company.

According to Tunji Oketunbi, spokesman of the Accident Investigation Bureau (AIB), personnel of the bureau have been drafted to the scene of the incident also, officials of the Lagos Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) and fire fighters are also at the scene.

Okunbor Nosa, Public Relations Officer of LASEMA, said one person who sustained injury has been taken to General Hospital, Ikeja, for treatment.
