Bonny LGA Chairman Inaugurates Revenue, Marine, Sanitation Committees

In a bid to boost her administration’s capacity to deliver democratic dividends to her people, the Chairman of Bonny Local Government Area of Rivers State, Anengi Claude-Wilcox has inaugurated Revenue, Marine and Sanitation Committees for the Local Government.

A statement by her Chief Press Secretary, Boma Waribor, disclosed that Claude-Wilcox inaugurated the three committees on Friday, November 29, 2024 at the Government Lodge in Bonny, Rivers State.

She charged members of the newly inaugurated committees to focus on excellence and alignment with her administration’s vision for the LGA, noting that the committees would complement her efforts in dispensing good governance in the LGA.

The statement further disclosed that the inauguration of the committees would be followed with the swearing-in of Supervisor-designates on Monday, December 2, 2024.

The Bonny Legislative Assembly under the leadership of Erefagha Allaputa had screened and confirmed the Supervisor-designates on Friday, November 29, 2024.

In her remarks during the brief ceremony, the Bonny LGA Boss charged the committees to deploy excellence in the discharge of their duties in alignment with the Bonny of our dream vision, directing them to liaise with the Council Secretariat and commence work immediately.

The inaugurated Revenue Committee members include: Brown Ada-Allison; Chairman, Adata Bristol; Secretary, and Sinclair Allison; Director of Operations.

The Marine Committee comprises Kalapapa Pollyn; Chairman, Maureen Jumbo; Secretary, and Tekena Oko-Jumbo, Director of Operations.

The Sanitation Committee has Eric Jackmay as Chairman, Nengi Hart, Secretary, and Sowari Tolofari as Director of Operations.

Meanwhile, the Supervisor-designates who have been successfully screened and confirmed by the Bonny Local Government Legislative Council, and about to be sworn-in by the Bonny LGA Chairman include Daniel Green, Solomon George-Pepple, Ruth Hart, Gogo Hart and Dabota Attoni.
