Chairman of Bonny Local Government Area, David Irimagha has assured the Muslim Community in the area of inclusiveness in his administration’s policies and programmes.

Irimagha gave this assurance yesterday, when he received a delegation of the Muslim Community in Bonny LGA led by their Chairman, Diekarama Pepple at the Government Lodge, Bonny yesterday.

According to a statement by his Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, William Ogbah Agwu, the Bonny LGA Number One citizen thanked the Muslim community for the visit and reiterated his commitment to run an all-inclusive government and ensuring that everyone – both indigenes and non-indigenes resident in Bonny – enjoys the dividends of democracy.

He also praised them for creating a cordial relationship with his administration and the demonstrating high level of understanding, promising to carry them along in his government’s activities.

Earlier, leader of the delegation, Diekarama Pepple had thanked the Bonny Local Government Council Chairman, David Irimagha for the audience granted them, while using the occasion to highlight some pressing issues affecting the Muslim Community in the area.

On his part, Iman Of Central Mosque, Bonny, Lamis Yusuf applauded the Bonny Local Government Council boss for always creating time to attend to them inspite of his tight and busy schedule, wishing Hon. Irimagha good health and more wisdom as he continues to pilot the affairs of Bonny LGA.

Also speaking, Furo Willie-Pepple expressed joy towards the attitude of the Bonny Local Government Council boss for the way and manner he carries everyone along, irrespective of party affiliations or tribe, saying it was indeed a show of true leadership, sighting some areas of concerns in the LGA to the council boss that needs to be looked into.

Meanwhile, in consolidation of his promised support to the security agencies in Bonny Local Government Area to deal with security challenges in the area, especially, curbing the menace of sea piracy, the LG Chairman, David Irimagha, yesterday presented two outboard engines to the Marine Police in Bonny.

The two engines (one 200 horsepower and one 150 horsepower), purchased by the Irimagha led local government council is expected to enhance the capability of the police to respond quickly to security situations along he waterways.
