The Administrator of Bonny Local Government Area, Kingsley Banigo has described Amanyanabo, and Natural Ruler of the Ancient Grand Bonny Kingdom; His Majesty, King Edward Asimini William Dappa Pepple III, CON, DSSRS, JP, Edward I, Perekule XI, as an embodiment of wisdom and dignity.
He gave this eulogy in commemoration of the King’s 60th diamond jubilee celebration, noting that Bonny Kingdom has witnessed remarkable progress, rooted in cultural preservation, inclusive governance, and steadfast dedication to the common good.



“Your enduring commitment to the peace, unity, and advancement of the Grand Bonny Kingdom continues to inspire all who call this ancient land home.”
Meanwhile, Banigo, alongside with his wife, Naomi, joined other dignitaries including the suspended Governor of Rivers State, Siminalayi Fubara, political office holders, traditional rulers, members of the Bonny Chiefs Council, titled citizens, and well-wishers at the ancient and historic St. Stephen’s Cathedral, Bonny, for a special thanksgiving service commemorating the 60th birthday anniversary.






The Bishop of the Nigerian Delta Diocese of the Anglican Church, Rt. Rev. Emmanuel Oko-Jaja delivered a soul-stirring sermon, extolling the benevolence of Almighty God in the life of His Majesty, the King.

He described the King as a vessel of divine purpose, embodying the virtues of compassion, justice, patience, and unwavering devotion to the service of his people.
The event which was filled with lots of dignitaries, saw the King been awarded as the “Kingdom Builder” by the Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion), Niger Delta Diocese.



“May Grand Bonny continue to flourish in peace, unity, and divine favor” His Majesty proclaimed, drawing the sacred gathering to a close with a benediction that echoed the deep yearnings of his heart for his Kingdom.











The Bonny LGA Administrator was accompanied by a former member of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Abinye Pepple, Secretary to the Bonny Local Government, Tamunotonye Jumbo, his Chief of Staff, Soparagha Jumbo, Chief Security Officer, Prince Christy-Wilcox, and Coordinator of Grassroots Development Initiative (GDI), Nengi Hart, amongst others.
