The Amanyanabo and Natural Ruler of Bonny Kingdom has commended the outgoing Commanding Officer of the Nigerian Navy Forward Operating Base (NNFOB), Bonny, Commodore Reginald Adoki for a meritorious tour of duty in Bonny, Rivers State.
His Majesty, King Edward Asimini William Dappa Pepple III, CON, DSSRS, JP, Edward I, Perekule XI gave this commendation on Friday, February 16, 2024 when Commodore Adoki led a delegation from the NNFOB to the King Perekule Palace, Bonny, for a formal introduction of his successor, Captain Maksum Mohammed, to the King.
Represented by the Chairman of Bonny Chiefs Council (BCC), Se-Alabo Dagogo Claude-Wilcox, the Monarch thanked the outgoing Commanding Officer for his meritorious service and the “very good relationship he had with the Traditional Council and Bonny Kingdom, in general, during his time in Bonny.
A statement signed on behalf of the King Perekule Palace by Adolf Pepple stated that the Monarch assured the new Commanding Officer of the NNFOB that the leadership of Bonny Kingdom will accord him the cooperation and support he needs to enable him succeed.
In his response, the outgoing Commanding Officer, Commodore Reginald Adoki, thanked he King, the Bonny Chiefs Council and the people of Bonny Kingdom for making his job easy by giving him all the support he needed.
Also speaking, the incoming Commanding Officer, Capt. Maksum Mohammed promised to build on the already established cordial relationship between Bonny Kingdom and the Nigerian Navy in Bonny.
He pledged that he will ensure that the current security situation in Bonny and the achievements of his predecessor are sustained and consolidated.
