The 2023 edition of the Bonny Jean Carnival would be massive fun and merrymaking for families and individuals that will attend, the organizers have said.

Team Lead for the Jean Carnival organizing team, Justine Tolofari said this on Tuesday, November 21, 2023 when he paid a visit to Kristina Reports in Bonny island, Rivers State.

“It’s a funfair where families come together to have fun, meet their loved ones and to also connect with different people.”

He explained that the visit to Kristina Reports was to seek the support of the virtual media outfit to realize the vision of the Bonny Jean Carnival, noting that “continuous development and deployment to deliver media solutions to the various publics by Kristina Reports is quite commendable”.

“If you close your eyes and you sleep all you hear is Kristina Reports; you open your platform all you see is Kristina Reports.”

“…and they are the best when it comes to anything concerning Bonny Kingdom; they have updated news and we cannot do anything without involving Kristina Reports.”

He stated that though Jean Carnival has been existing and popular in our different institutions and places, the Bonny version is being “brought it down to the street”.

According to him, the event will commence with carnival floats on Friday, December 22, 2023 a carnival show on Sunday, December 24, 2023 with varieties such as the Face of Bonny, Jean Carnival, Drum Competition, performance by guest artistes, and lots more.

Justine Tolofari stated that the Bonny Entertainment Award, which his team is also organizing aims at creating peace, promoting entrepreneurs, pushing the youths to aim higher, and encouraging entertainers in the island.

Responding, Chief Operating Officer of Kristina Reports, Eliel Bluejack expressed delight over the forthcoming Bonny Jean Carnival and Bonny Entertainment Award, pointing out that such events navigate young people away from social vices, asserting that Kristina Reports will continue to support initiatives that help youths to grow.

“We at Kristina Reports are glad to welcome the team of the Bonny Jean Carnival led by Justine Prince Tolofari, and the initiative of this Bonny Jean Carnival a very good one which will help take the minds of the youths off social vices, drugs and so on and channel them towards the positive side of life.”

The Bonny Jean Carnival and Bonny Entertainment Award are some of the events that populate the events calendar of Bonny Island for Yuletide season which promise to be fun.
