A boat mishap along the Bonny River in Bonny Local Government Area of Rivers State has claimed three lives.

Kristina Reports reliably learnt that the incident, which claimed the lives of three female passengers, happened about 08:30AM on Monday, April 8, 2024 close to the Yellow Platform area.

An anonymous source disclosed to Kristina Reports that all 11 passengers were rescued but three of them, all females, were pronounced dead at a medical facility in Bonny, Rivers State.

The source further disclosed that two of the passengers were currently receiving intensive care at an unnamed medical facility in Bonny while the other six are fine and have been reconciled with their families.

The source hinted Kristina Reports that the incidented speedboat which is powered by an outboard engine departed Bonny enroute Port Harcourt but sunk around the Yellow Platform area, throwing all 11 passengers into the chilling sea.

“There is boat mishap. This involved 11 passengers that left Bonny to Port Harcourt.”

“It happened around 08:30 after Yellow Platform.”

“The passengers were rescued but the three unconscious females among them gave up the ghost at a certain hospital in town.”
