The construction of a three Floor 50 Bed Hostel at the University of Port Harcourt, Choba, Rivers State as a donation by the Belemaoil JV in collaboration with the Belema Aid Foundation and Jack-Rick Tein Aid Foundation is a demonstration of the company’s commitment to fostering academic excellence.
Founder and President of BelemaOil Group, Tein Jack-Rich said this at the ground-breaking ceremony for the construction of the three floor 50 Bed Hostel at the University of Port Harcourt, Choba, Rivers State.
Represented at the ceremony by BelemaOil’s Director, Production and Engineering, Mufaa Welsh, the oil mogul said there was no better way to exhibit the company’s determination to see tangible improvements in the educational sector in the country than to contribute to the infrastructural development of the sector.
Vice Chancellor of the University of Port Harcourt, Professor Ndowa Lale thanked the company for such rare gesture and promised to put the facility to good use when completed.
On his part, the Minister of State for Education, Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba, represented by his Special Adviser on Policy and Political Matters, Paul Odili performed the ground-breaking ceremony.
Nwajiuba commended the company for keying into the vision of the Federal Ministry of Education to making University Hostel Accommodation available to Nigerian students across the nation.
The Hostel block is expected to be completed in four months.
