For those who didn’t listen to my response on Nig. Info. These are summary of my position:

1. That parading Prince Peter Odike as the authentic party Chairman and resorting to him howsoever , is totally illegal and anything done by him in the name of Rivers APC Exco is null and void .  The Chief DAVIES IBIAMU Ikanya led Exco became functus officio as a result of the efflucion of time . They were elected for a time definite , which in this case, 4 years . Their tenure expired on the eve of the  4th anniversary of their election . Anything done after that day , with out proper extension of their term by the appropriate authority is of no consequence at all

2. That APC Rivers State as led by CRA is a law abiding party which  obeys constituted and superior authorities. Since the National Working Committee of the party,  through the Chairman, Adams Oshiomole has directed that there should be new congresses . That I sincerely  believe the party will comply, by following the guidelines to be produced.

3. That the directive and statement of Adams Oshiomole does not in anyway affect the Primaries and Candidates produced therefrom . As the directive is  to Congresses and not Primaries.

4. That by virtue of my position as a Lawyer , the immediate past Admin Secretary of the party and a serious participant in the system . That I know of a truth that in APC, Primaries are conducted by the National Secretariat of the Party, through the National Working Committee(NWC), that sets up relevant committees,  in accordance with the Party Constitution to conduct Primaries . It is this national Committee that can co-opt any person in the state to assist them in the conduct of the Primaries.

5. That the Ojukaye led Exco neither sold  forms, screened nor conducted any Primary . That it was the National Committees that did.

6. That if anyone saw Ojukaye or any other person around any of the above  activities carrying out any responsibility; that such duties must have been delegated by the National Committee . Which such assignment could be delegated to anyone they so desire.

6. That it is the National Committee that sets rules , guidelines and procedures for congresses and primaries and not individuals nor State Party.

7. That it is the National Working Committee that compiles and forward names of Candidates to INEC and not the State Exco.

8. That the names and particulars of APC Rivers Candidates  were submitted by the National Working Committee and not Ojukaye led Exco.

9. That both the judgment of the High Court in Port Harcourt nor the Supreme Court ruling affect the actions directly done by the National Committee.

10. That besides elected delegates and relevant party holders , the bulk of delegates for any APC party primary is the Statutory Delegates, who participated in the last primaries in the state .

11. That it is my fervent prayer and candid desire that every well-meaning APC members should come out and participate in the rescheduled Primaries on the dates to be fixed . We should not allow ourselves as willing tools in the hands of outsiders to jeopardise the fortunes of our party in the forthcoming elections . We should accept the directives of our party at the National  produce Excos that will be generally accepted and end these legal tussles.
No no one will benefit from the continued legal impasse.
