Matthew Seiyefa, the most senior officer in the Department of State Services (DSS), is currently in a closed-door meeting with Acting President Yemi Osinbajo.
Osinbajo had, on Tuesday, sacked the Director General of DSS, Lawal Daura, following an “unauthorised” blockage of the National Assembly premises.
The acting President also ordered the most senior officer in the department to take over from Daura.
Shortly after this was announced, Seiyefa was reportedly seen in the premises of the Aso Rock, the Nigeria’s seat of power in Abuja.
According to Vanguard, Seiyefa was seen in an official SUV at about 4pm, clutching a file, and was received at the entrance by the ADC to the Acting President.
Shortly after, the Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC), Ibrahim Magu, also arrived, and walked briskly into Osinbajo’s office.
