Cubana Chief Priest Declares House of Reps Ambition, Backs APC
Popular Nigerian socialite and businessman Pascal Okechukwu, widely known as Cubana Chief Priest, has announced his intention to contest for a seat in the House of Representatives ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The nightlife entrepreneur revealed that he would be running under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), stating that his decision is driven by a desire to make meaningful contributions to governance and national development.

In his declaration through a video posted on his Instagram page, Cubana Chief Priest emphasised the importance of aligning with the ruling party, noting that it would provide him with the platform and influence needed to effect real change.
He also reaffirmed his support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the APC-led administration.
The businessman explained that his move into politics is part of a broader effort to transition from private enterprise to public service, with a focus on adding value to society and advocating for key issues affecting his region.
He further hinted that engaging directly in governance would enable him to push for causes he is passionate about, including regional development and national unity.
Cubana Chief Priest’s declaration comes amid his growing involvement in political activities, including participation in APC events and mobilisation efforts linked to the party’s “Renewed Hope” agenda.
His entry into the political arena has already sparked reactions across social media and public discourse, with observers expressing mixed opinions on the increasing number of entertainers and business figures venturing into elective politics.
As preparations for the 2027 elections gradually take shape, more declarations and alignments are expected across Nigeria’s political landscape.
