CSR: EasyKrest Trains 99, Employs 4 in Skills Development Drive, Earns BIRC Praise
In furtherance of its upskilling drive, EasyKrest Nigeria Limited has trained 99 persons and employed four of them instantly upon graduation, all of them residents of Bonny in Bonny Local Government Area of Rivers State.
Chief Executive Officer of EasyKrest, Kabaka Dagogo Brown said the initiative, which is an expression of its corporate social responsibility (CSR), is aimed at equipping young people with the needed skills that will make them competent and employable in the oil and gas sector.

Speaking through the Public Relations Officer of the company, Marvin Akwe, the CEO said the training encompassed specialised technical and safety skills, industrial insulation and first aid.

He stated that EasyKrest Nigeria Limited has taken a bold step in advancing human capital development in Bonny Local Government Area through a capacity-building initiative that is already drawing commendation from key stakeholders.

This feat has earned the company plaudits from the Bonny Kingdom employment watchdog, the Bonny Integrated Recruitment Centre (BIRC), which Chairman, Adawari Jumbo applauded its efforts, describing the initiative as a model for private sector involvement in community development.

Jumbo commended EasyKrest for what he termed a shift from symbolic corporate responsibility to meaningful empowerment, noting that “this is not merely corporate social responsibility; it is corporate employment. EasyKrest has moved beyond tokenism to deliver measurable competence”.
“The kind of transformation Bonny Kingdom needs rests in partnership where local contractors invest in people, not just profits.”

The BIRC Chairman noted that the company’s investment in people aligns with the broader vision of transforming Bonny into a hub of skilled manpower rather than a consumption-driven economy.
In a move to reinforce the impact of the training, BIRC also indicated its willingness to support employment pathways for participants who meet industry standards, signaling confidence in the quality of skills imparted by EasyKrest Nigeria Ltd.

“We will ensure that no graduate of this initiative remains idle. Our administration will actively absorb these trained personnel into relevant companies, provided they meet required standards. What EasyKrest has started, BIRC will sustain.”
