BONNY GRADUATES FORUM PROTESTS ALLEGED EXCLUSION IN RECRUITMENT PROCESS
The Bonny Graduates Forum has raised concerns over what it describes as the exclusion of its qualified members from a recent recruitment exercise conducted by All Energy West Africa.
In a formal protest letter jointly signed by the forum’s president, Jude Pepple and its secretary, James Ezekiel-Hart and addressed to the Chairman of the Bonny Integrated Recruitment Centre, the Forum, representing over one thousand graduates of Bonny origin expressed dissatisfaction over the outcome of the hiring process, particularly for the position of HSE Advisor.

The group alleged that despite the availability of competent and qualified candidates within its membership, none were selected, a development it says undermines local content principles and community inclusion.
The Forum also accused the company of failing to engage with it during the recruitment process, noting that such engagement is a long-standing expectation aimed at promoting employment opportunities and professional development for indigenes.
According to the Forum, the continued exclusion of qualified local graduates risks eroding trust between host communities and operating companies, while also hindering efforts to build sustainable human capacity in Bonny Kingdom.
The group is now calling on the Bonny Integrated Recruitment Centre to intervene by reviewing the recruitment process, ensuring that qualified members are considered, and establishing a framework for future collaboration.
The Bonny Graduates Forum, however, reiterated its commitment to peaceful dialogue and constructive partnership, while urging relevant authorities to ensure fairness, equity, and inclusiveness in employment practices.
