Josh Maja ends 30-game drought in West Brom win as Ryan Alebiosu shines for Blackburn
West Bromwich Albion finally tasted victory again, ending a difficult 13-game winless streak by defeating Hull City 3–0.

One of the star performers was Nigerian international Josh Maja, who broke his long-standing scoring drought to set the Baggies on their way.
Josh Maja Ends Goal Drought in Dominant West Brom Victory
His clinical finish at The Hawthorns sparked a dominant display that revitalised the team’s season.
The match started off at a high intensity, with Josh Maja spearheading a relentless attack.
His persistence paid off midway through the first half when he expertly converted a cross from Jed Wallace.
This goal was a massive relief for the striker, marking his first Championship strike since October 2025.
West Brom’s advantage grew when Hull City’s Charlie Hughes was sent off, leaving the visitors vulnerable.
Despite several missed opportunities, Albion eventually made their dominance count.
Jamaldeen Jimoh-Aloba provided the assist for Aune Heggbø to double the lead before Isaac Price rounded off the scoring in stoppage time to secure the three points.
Ryan Alebiosu Inspires Blackburn Rovers Comeback
Elsewhere in the Championship, Ryan Alebiosu played a pivotal role in a dramatic 2–1 away victory for Blackburn Rovers against Millwall.

After a series of poor results, Rovers found themselves trailing at The Den following a goal from Millwall’s Luke Cundle. However, the game changed when Millwall was reduced to ten men.
Ryan Alebiosu took full advantage of the extra space on the wing. The 24-year-old defender provided a perfect low cross for Mathias Jorgensen to equalise in the 80th minute.
Jorgensen then completed the turnaround five minutes later with a powerful finish. This vital assist from Alebiosu brings his total goal contributions for the season to four, helping Blackburn return to winning ways.
