Catholic Diocese of Umuahia Donates Electric Street Sweepers to Abia Government

The Catholic Diocese of Umuahia has donated two electric street sweeper and scraper vehicles to the Abia State Government to support environmental sanitation in the state.

Presenting the vehicles, the Catholic Bishop of Umuahia, Michael Ukpong, commended the state government for its efforts in maintaining a clean and healthy environment.

He said the donation reflects the Church’s support for government initiatives, stressing that cleanliness promotes healthy living.

Speaking on behalf of Abia State Environmental Protection Agency (ASEPA), the Deputy General Manager, Ambrose Johah, thanked the Diocese for the donation and assured that the vehicles would be properly used to improve sanitation across the state.

” On behalf of our team, ASEPA, I want to appreciate you for this donation, and I assure you that this machine will be properly used to improve sanitation in the state”.
