Security Agencies Arrest Cult Kingpin, Aboy Turuku Halima as Bonny LG Chairman Assures Clampdown Continues

Security agencies in Bonny Local Government Area have arrested a notorious cult kingpin, Prince Ezekiel, popularly known as “Aboy Tukuru Halima”.

He was arrested on Thursday, October 9, 2025 in a joint operation led by the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) for his alleged involvement cult-related activities and several assaults.

This arrest, which was made on the orders of the Chairman of Bonny LGA, Abinye Pepple, is part of moves aimed at maintaining peace, law and order in the area.

While issuing the order for the arrest of Ezekiel, the Bonny LGA chief executive said: “No individual or group will be allowed to threaten the peace and security of Bonny”.

He maintained that anyone found guilty of such acts will face the full weight of the law.

According to Police sources, the suspect, Prince Ezekiel, aka Aboy Tukuru Halima, will be transferred to State Police Command for further investigation and prosecution.

Residents, who spoke to Kristina Reports expressed gladness over the arrest, praising the LGA Chairman and the security agencies for the feat.

They expressed the hope that the island will now witness some respite from criminal elements.
