BREAKING! Federal Polytechnic Bonny Gets Substantive Rector

After almost two years interregnum, Nigeria’s premier manpower development hub, the Federal Polytechnic of Oil and Gas (FPOG), Bonny, Rivers State, now has a substantive Rector.

The newly appointed Rector, Dr Victor Akpevwe Okolobah confirmed his elevation to Kristina Reports on Wednesday, February 5, 2025 in a response to an online enquiry by the virtual news medium.

Until his appointment as substantive Rector, Dr Okolobah was the acting Rector of the institution under whose leadership the Polytechnic had its inaugural convocation.

Details of the appointment are still sketchy but Kristina Reports will continue to provide ongoing updates on the development.

Born on Saturday, August 23, 1969 in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, to late Capt. Michael Okolobah, Rtd. of the Nigerian Army and late Mercy Okolobah, the Rector hails from Egbo-Ideh Community in Ugheli-South Local Government Area of Delta State.

Prior to his ingress at FPOG Bonny, the erudite scholar was a Chief Lecturer in Statistics and later Director, Industrial Placement Unit (IPU) at Federal Polytechnic, Bida, Niger State, Nigeria.

Dr Victor Okolobah is married to Mrs. Stella Okolobah and their marriage is blessed with two boys and a girl.
