In a bid to give dynamism to her quest to speedily actualize her campaign promises as she hits the ground running, Chairman of Bonny Local Government Area of Rivers State, Anengi Claude-Wilcox has inaugurated her management team.
Claude-Wilcox presided over the inauguration of John Gabriel-Pepple, who will serve as Secretary to the Local Government, on Monday, October 28, 2024 in her office in Bonny, Rivers State.
The oath of office was administered on Gabriel-Pepple by the Chief Magistrate of Bonny Chief Magistrate Court, His Worship, Anthony Inko-Tariah
She also announced the appointment of Austin Onu-Pepple as her Chief of Staff, Ralph Jamaica, Executive Assistant on Finance/ Special Duties, Tamunotonye Banigo, Executive Assistant on Security Matters, Boma Waribor, Chief Press Secretary, Sotonye Longjohn, Deputy Press Secretary, and Henry Hart and Clement Longjohn as Special Assistants on Media.
The Bonny LGA chief executive charged the new Secretary to the Bonny Local Government on the need for teamwork and efficiency given the pivotal role of the LG Council Secretariat to the success of the government, emphasizing that cordiality and teamwork ensures the growth of the government.
She also urged the new appointees to keep up with the goal of good governance, adding that the aim is to render service to the people, stressing that the promise to optimize service to the people of Bonny LGA was an irrevocable covenant.
In attendance at the brief ceremony were the Vice Chairman, Omoni Longjohn, Leader, Bonny Legislative Assembly, Erefagha Allaputa, Deputy Leader, Boma Tolofari, Chief Whip, Edmund Fombo, Councillors, Sydney Irimagha, Edward Pollyn, Marilyn Dan-Jumbo, Eliona Igoni, Henry Jumbo, and Sinclair Abbey, as well as former Caretaker Committee Chairmen of Bonny LGA, Simon Hart, Adonye Wilcox, Isobonye Tobin, and Harold Wilcox, among several other dignitaries.
