As the battle of supremacy over the leadership structure of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Rivers State continues unabated, the Minister of Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike has threatened to ‘put fire’ in States governed by members of the PDP Governors Forum.
This threat came sequel to the demand of the PDP Governors Forum that the National Working Committee of the PDP officially transfer leadership of the party in Rivers State to Governor Siminalayi Fubara.
Wike, who spoke on Saturday, August 31, 2024 during the Congress of the State Chapter of the party in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, boasted that he has the capacity to interfere in the affairs of the various State Chapters of the party within the domain of the PDP Governors.
He urged the Governors to prepare for crisis, asserting that no one can take the Rivers PDP structure from me while he is alive, warning them to allow Rivers PDP to conduct its internal affairs.
He challenged those he described as “unstable characters” to prepare to challenge them in the forthcoming elections.
He urged his supporters in Rivers State to consider the elected Fubara led administration as a failed investment that has yielded no gains.
