After eight years of relentless attempts, Chinne finally made it into the Big Brother Naija house, only to be evicted after just two weeks.
The determined contestant, who entered the house with her niece as the unique Ndi Nne duo, opened up about her journey on the latest episode of the Morning Rush show with host Osi.
Chinne revealed that it took her nine attempts over the years to secure a spot in the popular reality show.
“Actually, it was my idea because I have been trying to go into Big Brother for like 8 years, so every year I kept on trying and trying until this year, and it was a dual reason.”
“So I buzzed her up, like, ‘Yo, it’s not going to be a bad idea if we do this together, and the rest is history,” she explained.
When asked about the initial reaction to the idea of joining the show as a pair, Nne, the niece, admitted she was hesitant at first.
“At first, I wasn’t as enthusiastic, but down the line, I saw reason and here we are today o, we made it,” she said.
Reflecting on their time in the house, the duo emphasized that their only strategy was to be genuine. “Our strategy was to be 100% ourselves and authentic,” Nne noted, dismissing the notion that entering the house with her aunt hindered their chances.
“Going into the house with my aunt didn’t mess up my strategy. She helped me to be as authentic as possible on the show.”
Despite their early exit, Chinne and Nne’s journey stands out, with the eviction coming as a shock to them both.
“The eviction came as a shock because I feel like we were a strong pair and we didn’t deserve to leave that early,” Nne concluded.
Their brief yet memorable stint in the BBNaija house has left fans talking, and while their time may have been short, Chinne and Nne’s story is one of perseverance and authenticity.
