The Rivers State House of Assembly will continue to mainstream legislation aimed at uplifting youths of the State as well as availing them the opportunity to deploy their potentials fro the betterment.
Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Victor Oko-Jumbo stated this on Friday, July 12, 2024 when he recived the Central Executive Council of the Bonny Youths Federation (BYF) at his residence in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

A statement by his Special Assistant on Media, Stephen Banigo disclosed that as a way of supporting the renovation of the BYF Secretariat in Bonny, Rt. Hon. Oko-Jumbo announced the donation and immediate release of the sum of N5million to assist in the project.
He equally obliged the request of the BYF Executive to partner in other forms of empowerment and capacity building for Bonny youths.













He assured the youths of Bonny Constituency of his preparedness to legislate and embark on policies and programmes that will favour the fortunes of young people and by extention leverage on their potentials for the betterment of society.
“Part of the ways to improve the state of the nation is to ensure the wellbeing, involvement and growth of youths who have an advantage of creativity, strength and passion.”

Earlier, the Leader of Bonny Youths Federation, Anthony Banigo said they were on the visit to synergise with the Speaker for the advancement of the youths of Bonny Kingdom.
He and his fellow CRC members also took turns to eulogise the Speaker for his numerous efforts in promoting good governance in Rivers State and for being a worthy ambassador of Bonny youths.
