The two main contenders in the Bonny Youths Federation (BYF) election billed for Saturday, November 7, 2020, Emmanuel Finecountry and Clarkson Hart have pledged to cooperate with other stakeholders to ensure that the elections are free, fair and credible.
In a joint interview with Kristina Reports today shortly after presenting their manifestos to a cross section of Bonny youths at the BYF Secretariat, King Asimini Bypass, Bonny, Finecountry and Hart assured that the elections would not breed acrimony between them or among their supporters.
They both promised to ensure that irrespective of whoever emerges Leader of Bonny Youths Federation (BYF) on Saturday, November 7, 2020, they would work together for the progress and development of Bonny Kingdom.
Presenting his manifesto, Emmanuel Finecountry, who is being projected by the Restoration Team, promised to expand the scope of opportunities for Bonny youths referencing previous engagements he facilitated that yielded job opportunities for the youths of the area.
Finecountry, who is also the Leader of the Bonny Kingdom Youth Leaders Forum, reiterated that pursuing the interest of Bonny youths remains his focus, stressing that opportunities abound in the area that can improve the fortunes of the youths.
On his part, Clarkson Hart, who is being projected by the Rebirth Team, stated that job opportunities and capacity building through training remain the core thrust of his campaign, noting that the security challenges and retrogressive situations facing Bonny Kingdom can be addressed when the youths are profitably engaged.
Hart, who is also the Governor of Captain Hart House Youths, promised to work with different stakeholders to ensure that security challenges in the area were nipped in the bud, adding that his administration when elected would signpost a new dawn for Bonny youths.
A member of the BYF Caretaker Committee, Adata Bristol urged the contestants and other stakeholders to cooperate with the committee to ensure a free, fair and credible process, assuring that the committee was determined to ensure a level playing field for all.
Another member of the BYF CTC and Chairman of Finima Youth Congress (FYC), Charles Brown commended the contestants for their cooperation and responsible conduct during the Manifesto Presentation Session, noting that the success of the committee, so far, was due to the synergy among the stakeholders.
