Group hails Nigeria LNG for Train 7, other milestones

A group of professionals under the aegis of Bonny Reminiscence Group have congratulated the Nigeria Liquefied Natural Gas (NLNG) Limited on its latest milestone, the signing of the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contract for the Train 7 Project.

In a statement signed by her Convener, Delia Ewere Whyte, and Secretary, Sokari S. Tobin, and made available to Kristina Reports, the Group said it also rejoices with the Nigeria LNG on its 31 years anniversary as a corporate entity in Nigeria.

The Bonny Reminiscence Group also lauded the gas giant for its leading role in promoting Nigerian content in the oil and gas industry in Nigeria.

The group further expressed its desire to support the Nigeria LNG, her contractors for the Train 7 Project and other stakeholders to ensure that the local content plans for the NLNG Train 7 Project were actualized and impacts Nigerians maximally.

Bonny Reminiscence Group comprises Nigerian professionals, who were former staffers of the consortium, TSKJ (Technip, Snamprogetti, KBR (Kellogg Brown & Root, Inc.) and JGC (Japanese Gas Company).

Recall that TSKJ was the main contractor that delivered the existing Trains 1 to 6 and the condensate plants for the Nigeria LNG.

Opinions across the industry have weighed in on the prospect of engaging seasoned professionals, especially, those who played critical roles and handled core tasks in the Trains 1 to 6 and the condensate plants development and a sprinkling of those with technical knowhow of the new technologies anticipated to be infused in the Train 7 Project, saying such will enhance the successful delivery of the project.

An industry expert, who preferred anonymity due to the key role he is playing in the build up to the kickstart of the Train 7, acknowledged Kristina Reports’ enquiry that engaging those with honed skillsets in the management of liquefied natural gas plants was key to the success of the project.
