Ahead of the 2019 governorship election in Rivers State, a former Governor of the state, Peter Odili has called on all well-meaning sons and daughters of the state to support Governor Nyesom Wike for a second time. Odili, who made this call today during a thanksgiving mass to celebrate his 70th birthday in Port Harcourt, described Wike as the best performing governor of the state since its creation. “The time has come for all well-meaning sons and daughters of this state to rally around the Governor and support him, ” he said. He expressed satisfaction with the achievements of the Governor, urging others to emulate him. He thanked Wike and everyone else who worked assiduously to give him a befitting birthday celebration.
