Bonny Kingdom Leadership Commends LG Chairman Over Fire Station Commissioning
The King Perekule Royal Palace has congratulated the Chairman of Bonny Local Government Area, Amasenibo Abinye Pepple, on the successful commissioning of the Bonny Fire Station.
In a goodwill message on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, signed by its Secretary, Festus Pepple, the Palace authority described the project as a significant milestone in the kingdom’s development.

The traditional institution said the facility represents a major boost to public safety and emergency response, noting that it would enhance the protection of lives and property across Bonny Kingdom.
The Palace praised the Bonny LGA Chairman for his persistence in bringing the project to fruition, recalling that the initiative was first conceived during his tenure as a member of the Rivers State House of Assembly.
According to the Palace, his determination to see the project completed despite the passage of time demonstrates purposeful leadership.
“The completion of this Fire Station is proof that vision, backed by commitment and consistency, can become reality.”
“It also shows that leadership is best measured by promises fulfilled, not merely promises made,” the statement read.
The traditional leadership also acknowledged the cordial relationship between the Bonny Local Government and the royal institution, describing it as one built on mutual respect and cooperation.
It noted that the chairman’s administration has consistently recognised the role of the traditional institution in governance and community development, adding that the partnership has contributed to peace and stability within the kingdom.
The Palace further stated that the fire station reflects an understanding that development extends beyond physical infrastructure to include the protection of lives, investments and public assets through efficient emergency services.
While praying for God’s continued guidance, wisdom and strength for the LG chairman, the traditional institution reaffirmed its commitment to working closely with the local government in advancing peace, unity and sustainable development in Bonny Kingdom.
“We remain committed to supporting every genuine effort aimed at promoting the growth and prosperity of Bonny Kingdom and congratulate the chairman on this remarkable achievement,” the Palace stated.
